Prices for home heating oil have increased dramatically in recent months, the State of Connecticut offers energy assistance programs CEAP/LIHEAP (CT Energy Assistance Program) (Low Income Heating Assistance Program) to assist low-income households.

House and Senate Republicans have proposed dedicating roughly $50 million more towards energy assistance which could benefit an estimated 110,000 more households.
