Roadwork on Route 156 in East Lyme

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is continuing their 2018 Vendor Resurfacing Program with milling work on a 3.63 mile segment of Route 156 in East Lyme starting tomorrow, September 14th. Work is expected to conclude on Friday, October 12th. Note that work will be performed on Monday, October 8, 2018, the Columbus Day holiday.

 

Please expect lane closures to occur on Route 156 from the Rocky Neck Connector (State Service Route 449) to the Niantic River Bridge. Three East Lyme Police Officers and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The daytime work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the nighttime schedule is 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. As always, please maintain a safe speed when driving through this vicinity.
