Rep. Cheeseman Votes No on Sixth Extension of Governor’s Emergency Powers

The House just voted to extend the governor’s emergency powers for the sixth time. CT is in a much better place now than we were in last March. It is unfortunate that this legislature continues to yield control when our local governments, school boards, and health districts are able to respond to COVID with more efficiency and effectiveness. I certainly hope that when this extension expires in September that we are not asked to extend his authority for a seventh time.
