Rep. Cheeseman Participates in Read Across America
SALEM- State Representative Holly Cheeseman (R-37) visited Salem Elementary School on Friday morning to celebrate Read Across America Week.
“I want to thank the students and teachers for inviting me to their class, said Rep. Cheeseman. “I enjoyed reading a chapter from my favorite book ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ to the two fourth grade classes, it was fun.”
The National Education Association launched Read Across America in 1998 as a year-round program to celebrate reading. Given Dr. Seuss’ impact on the reading world, his birthday (March 2) was declared Read Across America Day. This also commences Read Across America Week and Read Across America Month.
