CTDOT is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 85 in Waterford and Montville starting July 8, 2024.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 85 in Waterford and Montville starting July 8, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.89-mile segment of Route 85 in Waterford and Montville. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday morning, July 8 through Friday evening, July 19, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday evening, July 21 through Friday morning, July 26, 2024, and Monday morning, July 29 through Friday evening, August 2, 2024.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 85 from Cross Road in Waterford to Sachatello Industrial Drive in Montville. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. The nighttime work schedule for the paving on July 21 to 26, 2024 is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
