The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance activities will be performed on Route 2A in Montville.
The project consists of asphaltic plug joint replacement on multiple bridges on Route 2A from the I-395 northbound Exit 9 off-ramp to Route 12 in Montville. Work is scheduled to occur Monday, September 20 through Friday, October 29. No work will be completed through the Columbus Day Weekend.
Motorists can expect alternating lane closures on Route 2A from the I-395 northbound Exit 9 off-ramp to Route 12 in Montville. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night hours for this project are from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday evening, through Friday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
