Nurse Week 5.6.2020

Today is the beginning of Nurses Week and the timing of this recognition seems fitting now more than ever. Nurses have been on the front lines throughout history and recently we have seen their bravery day in and day out. Over the last few months, nurses have been celebrated for their courage and tenacity; with neighborhoods and cities cheering at a particular time of day, parades throughout New London and other parts of our state and many other kind gestures. We can continue to show our appreciation for nurses by donating food, donating blood, and by continuing to practice the recommended measures to slow the spread: social distancing, wearing a mask, and remaining in quarantine when necessary. By everyone doing their part outside of the hospital, we can help relieve the burden in the hospital. As the mission continues to overcome this virus, I want to say thank you to the nurses across our state and our great country.

As the mission continues to overcome this virus, I want to say thank you to the nurses across our state and our great country.
