Cheeseman: Tree and Vegetation Removal Project on I-395 in Norwich and Montville

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a tree and vegetation removal project will be performed on I-395 Northbound and Southbound in Norwich and Montville.

The project consists of tree and vegetation removal on I-395, Northbound and Southbound, in Norwich and Montville.  The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 10, 2023, through Friday, May 26, 2023.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect right-lane and shoulder closures on I-395, Northbound, from Exit 5 (Route 32 – mile point 5.00) in Montville to Exit 18 (Route 97 – mile point 18.00) in Norwich (Occum) and I-395, Southbound, from Exit 18 (Route 97 – mile point 18.00) in Norwich (Occum) to Exit 5 (Route 32 – mile point 5.00) in Montville.  One (1) state trooper, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The work schedule for this project is from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
