June 11th is Connecticut Open House Day, an all-day event across the state for Connecticut’s museums, attractions and historic sites. Now in its 18th year, over 200 attractions will be participating by offering special events as well as free or discounted admissions.

Over two dozen venues are participating in New London County, including a few in our district.
Brookside Farm Museum, Niantic
The House is open to the recent digs on the site. Artifacts found, a George Washington campaign button as well as stone arrow heads date unknown.
Thomas Lee House, Niantic
The Thomas Lee House, circa 1660, and the Little Boston School, 1803, will be open for tours along with our barn’s historical displays. Outdoors you can enjoy the herb garden and there will be tables of local information.
