Rep. Chaleski Urges Passage of Danbury Charter School Funding Proposal

Hartford – The Appropriations Committee received numerous requests from legislators for funding during this budget adjustment session. The leaders of the committee, Senators Osten and Berthel and Representatives Walker and Zawistowski, sent the requests to the subcommittee with jurisdiction, including the six for the Elementary and Secondary Education subcommittee. Early voting was approved by Connecticut voters in 2022. During the 2023 legislative session, the General Assembly authorized in-person early voting for elections held after April 1, 2024. Under this schedule, the first election utilizing early voting will be the Presidential Preference Primary on April 2, 2024.

DOT to Host Virtual Meeting About Metro-North

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will host a virtual public information meeting on March 28, 2024, at 6pm about network infrastructure system upgrades on the New Haven line, and Danbury and New Canaan branch lines. The work includes upgrades to the security Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system, enhancements to the security capabilities on the platforms, and the addition of new cameras and upgrades to the network.
