The Gathering Place Receives Donation from Spectrum

TORRINGTON, Conn. – “The Gathering Place” received a $1,000 donation from Spectrum to support its programming and services. The ceremony was held on Friday, December 17, with the presentation of the check to “The Gathering Place.” State Representative Jay Case (R-Winsted) participated in the community event.

New Beginnings, a non-profit, is the sponsoring organization of The “Gathering Place” – a drop in center for the homeless. The “Gathering Place” services as the local point of entry for all homeless, serving all 26 towns in Litchfield County. Open every weekday, we offer supports ranging from a hot shower to washing clothes to securing housing too homeless individuals and families. Most importantly, we offer HOPE and new beginnings. “Thank you Spectrum for your generosity! This donation will further our efforts in providing services to our clients, helping the greater community and accomplishing our mission,” said Nancy Cannavo, President for The Gathering Place.
