Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 20 in Winchester, Barkhamsted and Hartland

The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 3.22-mile segment of Route 20 in Winchester, Barkhamsted and Hartland from Route 8 to Hogback Road.
The milling portion of the project is scheduled to occur from Thursday, June 10, 2021, to Monday, June 14, 2021. The resurfacing portion of the project is scheduled to occur from Thursday, June 17, 2021, to Monday, June 28, 2021.
Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (Monday through Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
