State Rep. Christie Carpino Protecting Kids from Social Media Platforms

State Rep. Christie Carpino, R-Cromwell, praised the bill for its attention to an issue that she said was causing great harm to the state’s children. She said that the bill was carefully crafted to weigh protecting kids online and constitutional concerns.
“I know that many of us, myself included, worry about overreach,” Carpino said. “I have more than a strong streak of independence in myself. And yet I believe that this is the right balance to protect our state. So I urge every one of my colleagues to protect their kids in their district because this bill really is going to make a difference.”
