PURA Approves $80M Rate Adjustment to Enhance the State’s EV Charging Grid

PURA’s decision today to approve an $80 million dollar rate adjustment for Eversource and United Illuminating customers to enhance the state’s EV charging grid is insulting. It is even more insulting is the fact that only 2.5% of Connecticut’s cars are electric and the rest of us are paying. You will soon see this charge added to the Public Benefits portion of your bill.

I reiterate my call and that of my Republican colleagues to the governor’s office to come into Special Session and work on solutions to providing financial relief to our constituents.
