Today, I joined my colleagues to hear the Governor’s 2026-2027 budget proposal that should raise eyebrows for the average taxpayer. In his “mixed bag” proposal, he loosened our fiscal guardrails to increase spending, creating a predicted $491.5 million tax increase for residents and businesses over the next two years.
