I’m happy to share that Connecticut has officially received the final $8 million installment of federal funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)! I confirmed with the Department of Social Services today that the funds have been deposited into the state’s coffers.
This critical support helps thousands of our most vulnerable residents stay warm during the coldest months of the year. While there’s always more work to do to ensure no family is left behind, this funding is a big win—and a much-needed relief—for many across our state.
