The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 146 in Guilford starting on Sunday, Sept. 17 through Oct. 12, 2023. The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.66 miles of Route 146 in Guilford.
The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, Sept. 17 through Monday, Sept. 25. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, Oct. 1 through Wednesday, Oct. 12.
No work will be performed from 6:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, due to the Columbus Day Holiday.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 146 from Sachem Head Road to US-1 (Boston Post Road). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
