Tax Free Week Coming Soon…

A main staple in the month of August has always been the annual tax free week right before Connecticut students head back to school. This year legislators fought back attempts by the governor to end the weekly tax break event which benefits so many state families.

Per state statute, the 19th Annual Sales Tax Free Week begins on the third Sunday of August and runs until the following Saturday.

  • 2019 Sales Tax Free Week dates are: Sunday, August 18, through Saturday, August 24, 2019.

Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along Route 15 in Wallingford and North Haven

The following message comes from the State Department of Transportation and contains information that could impact your travels.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on the Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15) north and south in Wallingford and North Haven, Monday, August 12, through Friday, September 13, 2019.
