The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 in Greenwich, beginning Monday, August 19, 2019.
The project consists of asphaltic plug joint repairs to the I-95 North and South, Bridge #00007 (Shore Rd. overpass), #00008 (Horseneck Creek overpass), #00009 (Arch St. overpass), #00011 (Davis St. overpass) in Greenwich. This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday, August 19, 2019 to the morning of Friday, September 20, 2019.
The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Applications.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 North and South between Exit 3 (Arch Street) and Exit 4 (Indian Field Rd.) in Greenwich. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. (Monday through Thursday evenings).
No lane closures will occur from 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2019 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019. (Labor Day)
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
