State Representative Patrick Callahan (R-108) delivered remarks and met up with constituents at the State Capitol for Agriculture Day.

“I told the gathered crowd about proposals before the Environment Committee that could impact farmers and then talked with a Sherman resident about CT Veteran Grown – veteran farmers. I also visited with representatives from The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station about sterile grass carp, zebra mussels, and hydrilla spread prevention,” said Rep. Callahan.

Known colloquially around the complex as “Ag Day” it is an annual tradition hosted by the State Department of Agriculture at the State Capitol that brings together farmers, Vo-Ag students, agricultural non-profits, and federal and state agencies to put up displays in the Capitol building highlighting their work.
