New Fairfield— State Representative Patrick Callahan (R-108) was invited to be a guest reader at Consolidated School in New Fairfield for Read Across America Day.
“Thank you to Mrs. Woodard and Mrs. Duffy for letting me join their classes for a Reading Campout to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. I was pleased to share some of my favorite stories, including The Sneetches and Green Eggs & Ham,” said Callahan.

The National Education Association launched Read Across America in 1998 as a year-round program to celebrate reading. Dr. Seuss’ birthday was March 2 and was declared Read Across America Day, which kicks off Read Across America Week and Read Across America Month.
