The Transportation Committee held a public hearing this week on several bills, including to lower BAC limits for impaired driving & boating and to increase work zone safety. Rep. Patrick Callahan (R-New Fairfield) questioned an NTSB Board Member about another big safety hazard–smoking pot while driving. Majority Democrats last year voted down an amendment House Republicans offered to crack down on drugged driving.
