The Connecticut Department of Transportation will host a virtual public information meeting on March 28, 2024, at 6pm about network infrastructure system upgrades on the New Haven line, and Danbury and New Canaan branch lines. The work includes upgrades to the security Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system, enhancements to the security capabilities on the platforms, and the addition of new cameras and upgrades to the network.

The meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation. For instructions on accessing the meeting and ways to provide comments and ask questions, visit https://portal.ct.gov/DOT300-215. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2025 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $19.3 million; 80% federal funding and 20% from the state.

This meeting will also be livestreamed on the CTDOT YouTube channel; no registration is required. Non-English language closed captioning will be available on Zoom and YouTube. The recording will also be posted immediately following the meeting in the list of CTDOT virtual public meetings at portal.ct.gov/ctdotVPIMarchive.
