    The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that Center line and shoulder Rumble Strip will be performed on multiple routes in Harwinton, Torrington, Sharon, Salisbury, Suffield, Canton, Colebrook, Washington, North Canaan, Thomaston, Plymouth, Waterbury, New Fairfield, Danbury, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Seymour, Derby, and Ansonia. The work is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, April 1 and continue through Friday, October 11, 2024. Epoxy Pavement Markings will also be performed.

    Projects include Route 39 from Route 53 to New Fairfield Town Line, and Route 37 in New Fairfield form the South Junction of Route 39 (Brush Hill Road) to Sherman Town Line.

    LANE CLOSURE INFO

    Motorists can expect lane closures. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday with rain dates set as Friday.

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
