New Milford Day 2024: Video Tour

New Milford Day 2024: Video Tour
This article was archived from the previous WordPress site. Formatting and media should be close, but may not match the original post perfectly.

New Milford is Connecticut’s premiere destination to live and work. Our community’s unique businesses, coupled with the fine work of the New Milford Police Department, make it all possible. For my annual New Milford Day this year, I am taking you for a behind the scenes video tour so you can learn a little more about the people who have devoted their life’s work to our town!

In the tour, you will get a chance to learn about Goatboy Soaps and the newest additions to the farm, what menu items you can pick from at Sparrow Bar & Restaurant, which cool toys are on the shelves at Nordica, how facial tissue is made and packaged at Kimberly-Clark, and an inside look at the office of an esquire with Hoekenga, Machado & Lyon, LLC.

    Participating Businesses

I’d like to recognize our job creators and businesses that recently welcomed me to tour their facilities. These include:

    • Lisa Agee — Goatboy Soaps
    • John Bordeau — Sparrow Bar & Restaurant
    • Emily and Brandon Merritt — Nordica
    • Nathan Kenney — Kimberly-Clark
    • Meg Lyon — Hoekenga, Machado & Lyon, LLC

    New Milford Police Department

Thank you to the New Milford Police Department for its continued efforts in keeping our streets and storefronts secure. These men and women are on call around the clock and always respond with outstanding professionalism, which has led to us being ranked as one of Connecticut’s safest communities.

    A special thank you to:

    • Chief Spencer Cerruto
    • Deputy Chief Alan Wilcoxson
    • Sgt. Michael Lafond
    • Sgt. Katherine Relyea
    • Lt. Earl Wheeler
    • Lt. Lee Grabner
    • Detective Nick Smith

New Milford is better for having these dedicated men and women contribute to our community everyday – and many other businesses that I have not had a chance to visit yet. Be on the lookout for New Milford Day plans next year, we are hoping to be back up at the Capitol – stay tuned!
