COVID-19 Response update 03/24/20

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Gov. Lamont has announced plans for all school districts to access and adopt alternative remote learning options as part of the administration’s strategy to limit the COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, the administration has made an appeal for organizations, individuals, and businesses to donate medical equipment to health providers. I also wanted to make you aware of federal legislation that creates a new federal emergency paid leave benefit program. According to the new law, eligible workers will receive a benefit for a month (up to a maximum of three months) in which they must take 14 or more days of leave from their work due to the qualifying COVID-19-related reasons.
