HARTFORD – State Representative Bill Buckbee (R-New Milford) recently attended a press conference at the State Capitol to raise awareness of critical funding needed for Connecticut Veterans. Specifically, the press conference highlighted Senate Bill 298: An Act Concerning Funding of the Department of Veterans Affairs, which would allocate $2 million of additional funding to the DVA for the delivery of services.

Rep. Buckbee stated, “I stand behind our veterans in their efforts to advocate for funding of services that they have earned through their service to our state and country. The least we can do as a society is ensure that these brave men and women, who put their lives on hold to defend our freedoms, are afforded life improving services. There are many debatable line-items in our state budget. This particular one, however, should not be on the chopping block.”
