Buckbee Participates in Read Across America

New Milford – State Rep. Billy Buckbee (R-New Milford) participated in Read Across America events at Northville and Hill & Plain elementary schools. During his visit to Northville, Buckbee read to Mrs. Hibbard’s students. While at Hill & Plain, Buckbee read to four different groups of students.
“Mrs. Hibbard was my First Grade teacher! It was great to see her, along with the students who were learning the early skills of reading. Opportunities like this really make representing the community of New Milford a great honor,” said Buckbee.
Read Across America is an annual initiative to get kids interested in reading more often. After his readings, Buckbee gifted each class the book he read to them.
