$1 Million STEAP Grant to New Milford

Governor Ned Lamont has announced $30 million in state grants through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) for 46 small towns across Connecticut! These funds will go toward a wide range of infrastructure improvements — from road safety and emergency upgrades to sidewalk enhancements and recreational facility improvements.

Our town will receive $1 million in state funding for the reconstruction of Merryall Road, with the town contributing an additional $316,192 to bring this important project to life. This is a major step forward in improving local infrastructure and ensuring safer roads for all.
