New Milford – On Thursday afternoon, State Rep. Bill Buckbee welcomed over 60 job seekers to the Community Job Fair at the Pettibone Community Center. Over 20 different employers and community partners were in attendance to provide resources to those interested in exploring a career, which included the state’s Department of Labor.

“I want to thank all of the businesses, colleges and community partners who took the time to participate in this event – truly making it a success,” said Rep. Buckbee, who planned and coordinated the job fair. “Thursday evening was a great opportunity to help connect those looking for work with potential job creators. Lots of connections were made at the fair, which goes to show that you might become interested in a certain field or industry based on a simple conversation or by simply picking up a pamphlet.”
