Rep. Bronko Visits Naugatuck High School to Share His Experiences as a Lawmaker

NAUGATUCK – Rep. Seth Bronko, R-Naugatuck, recently visited Naugatuck High School where he shared his experience as a legislator with 11th and 12-grade civics classes.

Rep. Bronko talked about the differences between local, state, and federal government. He also addressed how state government impacts our lives, even as high schoolers, using an example of the House passing a bill in the 2024 legislative session to ban anyone 16 years of age and younger from buying energy drinks (the legislation was not called in the Senate).

“One of my passions is civics and government, especially encouraging young people to get involved in the process and learn how our government functions,” said Rep. Bronko. “It was great to be back at my alma mater sharing my passion for civics with the students. Even if I only inspired one student to get involved, then it was time well spent!”
