“I am deeply honored to be appointed as the ranking member and extend my thanks to House Republican Leader Candelora for his trust and confidence in me,” Rep. Bronko said. “Higher Education is a cornerstone of opportunity and innovation in Connecticut, and I am committed to ensuring our institutions remain accessible, affordable, and of the highest quality. We also need to ensure that when taxpayer dollars are sent to our higher educational institutions, that those funds are spent appropriately and with care. I look forward to working collaboratively with my colleagues to advance policies that empower our students, which will strengthen our workforce, and support the future of our state.”
“Representative Bronko is an emerging leader in the General Assembly who deeply understands the intersection of higher education, workforce development, state budgetary policy, and the affordability challenges faced by students and families,” Candelora said. “I am confident Seth will bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions as this committee tackles the myriad challenges ahead, including balancing the rising costs of higher education with the need to ensure access to quality academic opportunities that prepare students for careers in our state.”
Ranking Members also serve as a liaison to caucus members regarding the important issues from each committee.
