NAUGATUCK – Rep. Seth Bronko, R-Naugatuck, took part in Memorial Day services at the Hillside Intermediate School in Naugatuck. The service was a way to honor the sacrifices made by veterans.
The students read aloud the names of their family members who served, or who are currently serving, thanked the veterans who attended and played “Taps” to honor the fallen.
Rep. Bronko described the services as a touching tribute to members of the military who have sacrificed so much for our country while defending our freedoms.
The ceremony included the presentation of a wreath and a set table and empty chair in recognition of those veterans who could not join the service.
