    Flooding Updates and Resources

Please see the following information shared by Rep. Bronko in regards to recent flooding:

In the past 24 hours, Naugatuck, as well as surrounding towns, were impacted by at least 10 inches of rain that fell within a short amount of time. Connecticut has declared a state of emergency in response to the catastrophic flooding, which begins the process for requesting federal funds.

Several areas of the Borough have been impacted, roads are washed out and homes and businesses are damaged. First responders and public works crews have been responding to calls throughout the night, and we are grateful for what they have done, and continue to do, for the community.

As a reminder, please be careful when you see cones and signs indicating that the road is closed, as there could be underlying damage on the road that you may not see. Please also be patient as damage assessments and repairs are made, it will take time to restore our infrastructure. Updates to these road closures are available on https://ctroads.org/

For anyone who has experienced flooding in their homes, I also wanted to share links to resources that may be helpful to you, your family or your neighbors.
