Energy & Technology Committee to Hold Virtual Informational Forum on Tropical Storm Response
The Legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee will hold a virtual Informational Forum on Tropical Storm Isaias response and electric utility rate increases with invited speakers on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. via zoom. This is in addition to the Monday, August 24 PURA regulatory hearing to investigate rate increases. For interested residents you will be able to access the livestream of the virtual Informational Forum by visiting www.CT-N.com. The Energy Committee is requesting that testimony be limited to matters related to Tropical Storm Isaias Utility Response and the July 2020 Electric Utility Rate Increases. In advance of the Informational Forum, residents are encouraged to share and submit their written testimony to the Energy Committee on Eversource’s response to the storm and how any proposed electricity rate increase will impact you and your family. You can email written testimony in Word or PDF format to ETtestimony@cga.ct.gov or it can be mailed to the Energy and Technology Committee Legislative Office Building, Room 3900, Hartford, CT 06106 in the event email submission is unavailable.
