Speak out on Rate Hikes & Storm Response
More ways to make your voice heard:
Attend a virtual public hearing or submit written testimony.

Thank you to all who have spoken out about your recent electric bill increases and
the response of Eversource and United Illuminating to Tropical Storm Isaias.
There are now more opportunities to weigh in:

1) Energy & Technology Committee Listening Session

  • WATCH Listening Session
  • The General Assembly’s Energy & Technology Committee is holding a listening session on a proposed bill to address storm response and regulation of the state’s electric utilities. The virtual meeting is taking place TODAY, Tuesday, September 8 from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
  • Submit Written Testimony
  • You can email testimony in Word or PDF format to ETTestimony@cga.ct.gov.

2) Final PURA Public Comment Hearing on Eversource Rate Hikes

  • Testify Virtually
  • The final PURA public comment hearing will be held via Zoom on September 10 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. To register, all members of the public should submit their information to the OCC through this Online Registration Form. Likewise, consumers may contact the OCC via email at occ.info@ct.gov or by telephone at 860-827-2900. The direct link to the Zoom public comment hearing may be accessed at https://ctdeep.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJcofuGqqj0uGdIzcn300ttCQqABLc9GBLOJ.
  • Submit Written Testimony
  • PURA is still accepting written public comment and those Eversource customers who wish to comment in writing are encouraged to submit their written comment to PURA via e-mail at pura.executivesecretary@ct.gov referencing Docket No. 20-01-01.

3) SAVE THE DATE: PURA Public Comment Hearings on Eversource & Response to Tropical Storm Isaias
PURA has scheduled three public comment hearings for October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at which time the public will have the opportunity to comment on Eversource and United Illuminating’s responses to Tropical Storm Isaias. More information will be shared on how to testify as the hearings get closer.
