Public Hearing Set for Proposed Insurance Rate Increases

HARTFORD – As you may have heard, insurance companies have proposed increasing rates in Connecticut in 2023 for individual and small group markets by an average of more than 20%. The rate increases would impact more than 200,000 people statewide.

HARTFORD – Connecticut Senate and House Republican Leaders are renewing their calls for a public hearing at the state Capitol on the proposed health insurance rate filings for the 2023 individual and small group markets, which include proposed rate increases averaging over 20%.
