The program will provide preparedness essentials that would help during hazards like home fires, hurricanes, winter storms, etc. HERE are more details about “Be Red Cross Ready” program.

American Red Cross in Greater New York: Headquartered in New York City, the Greater New York Region serves more than 10 million people in New York City, Long Island, Rockland, and Westchester counties and Greenwich, CT.  They respond to approximately seven emergencies and disasters a day across the region—home fires, floods, building collapse and provide shelter, food, clothing, and emotional support at no cost to those in need. The five core services offered by Red Cross are Blood Services, Services to the Armed Forces (SAF), International Services, Life Saving Skills Courses, and Disaster Response. You can learn more about the Red Cross Mission by clicking HERE.

Our Presenter Alex Poku has personally trained over 100,000 families, professionals, teachers, law enforcement, and people from diverse backgrounds in person and virtually. Since joining the Red Cross in 2014, he has been training individuals and families throughout the Greater New York area to be better prepared for disasters of all kinds and helped pioneer ways of delivering preparedness programs nationally during COVID-19. We are lucky to have him provide us this training.
