HARTFORD, CT –  APRIL 11th, 2025 – State Representative Chris Aniskovich proudly announces that the State Bond Commission has approved $418,000 in funding for critical infrastructure projects in Westbrook and Clinton. These investments, detailed in the Commission’s April 11, 2025 agenda, will enhance shoreline protection and improve recreational facilities along Connecticut’s coast.

    The approved allocations include:

    • $200,000 for repairs to the Duck Island Breakwater in Westbrook, safeguarding the shoreline from erosion and storm damage.
    • $75,000 for breakwater, piers, and other construction projects in Westbrook, supporting the town’s coastal resilience.
    • $143,000 for improvements to boat ramp facilities in Clinton, enhancing access for boaters and fostering recreational opportunities.

“These funds are a game-changer for our shoreline communities,” said Rep. Aniskovich. “Investing in our breakwaters and boat ramps not only protects our environment but also strengthens our local economy by supporting recreation and tourism. I’m honored to advocate for Westbrook and Clinton to ensure our coast remains a vibrant place to live, work, and play.”

The funding reflects Rep. Aniskovich’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructure improvements that benefit residents and visitors alike. The projects are expected to bolster safety, enhance public access to the waterfront, and preserve the natural beauty of Connecticut’s shoreline.
