State Rep. Chris Aniskovich Secures Over $400,000 in State Funding for Westbrook and Clinton Coastal Infrastructure

HARTFORD, CT – APRIL 11th, 2025 – State Representative Chris Aniskovich proudly announces that the State Bond Commission has approved $418,000 in funding for critical infrastructure projects in Westbrook and Clinton. These investments, detailed in the Commission’s April 11, 2025 agenda, will enhance shoreline protection and improve recreational facilities along Connecticut’s coast.
The approved allocations include:
- $200,000 for repairs to the Duck Island Breakwater in Westbrook, safeguarding the shoreline from erosion and storm damage.
- $75,000 for breakwater, piers, and other construction projects in Westbrook, supporting the town’s coastal resilience.
- $143,000 for improvements to boat ramp facilities in Clinton, enhancing access for boaters and fostering recreational opportunities.
“These funds are a game-changer for our shoreline communities,” said Rep. Aniskovich. “Investing in our breakwaters and boat ramps not only protects our environment but also strengthens our local economy by supporting recreation and tourism.
