It was my honor to represent the House Republican Caucus this morning at the Capitol to celebrate the amazing work that was pulled off in a very short period of time.
Over the last week, our four legislative caucuses, including staff members from various departments at the Legislative Office Building worked together supporting the State Capitol Police, who arranged an Emergency Food Drive benefiting The Village – an organization that is committed to helping families in need in the Greater Hartford area. As we wind down what has been an extremely hectic several weeks at the Capitol, it was impressive to see the outcome of generosity and support from our legislators, staff, and visitors. As we debate bills and differences in the House and Senate, it is important to note that we all share the same concern for those within our communities that are struggling the most.
This was a job well done by the State Capitol Police, and everyone involved for the benefit of others.
