In an effort to better understand your electricity bill, you are invited to join myself and Taren O’Connor from PURA, for a workshop to discuss any questions or concerns that you might have. Please join us on Wednesday, August 24th, from 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the New Hartford Senior Center.
The Town of New Hartford has graciously extended this invitation to seniors throughout the 62nd District. Light lunch will be provided and RSVP is required to: KDeSantis@newhartfordct.gov

Recently, I had the opportunity to tour Gresczyk Farms in New Hartford and was highly impressed. The tour was led by Bruce Gresczyk, who owns the farm with his brother Henry. The farm grows crops on about 130 acres and is one of the largest in the 62nd District. They employ 26 people, including seven seasonal workers from Jamaica. In addition to vegetables, the farm grows blueberries, raspberries, herbs, and flowers, and sells eggs from 600 cage-free laying hens.
