State Representative Mark Anderson Speaks Against Extension of Governor’s Emergency Powers

During the July 14th special session, State Representative Mark Anderson (R-62nd), speaks against extension of Governor’s emergency powers.

Unfortunately, the vote passed by a margin of 73 in favor, 56 against, with 22 absent or not voting. I am very disappointed that yet again, the legislative body will be left out of any further action that might need to be taken. Special Legislative Session This Coming Wednesday

Earlier today on the steps of the State Capitol, I joined several of my colleagues and concerned citizens from across Connecticut to address Governor Lamont’s request for an extension of his emergency powers. The legislature will be in session to debate and vote on this request this coming Wednesday.
