(COVENTRY, LEBANON) — In honor of “Read Across America Week”, State Representative Tim Ackert (R-8) visited and read to students at Coventry Grammar School and Lebanon Elementary school alongside State Representative Mark DeCaprio (R-48). Recently, I hosted a press conference fighting back against state mandated job suppression in many of our construction trades. Known as apprenticeship hiring ratios, state statutes currently limit the amount of apprentices a business can hire, shrinking our workforce, hurting our economy, and making it harder to meet our clean energy demands and hire the next, diverse generation of trade workers.

(HARTFORD) — On Tuesday, State Representative Tim Ackert (R-8) testified in support of House Bill 5204, An Act Concerning the Registration of Low-Speed Vehicles, which would allow certain low-speed vehicles to operate on roads under certain speed limits.
