In the News: Quarries Working Group Report

Dear Neighbors,

As part of Public Act 19-192 “An Act Concerning Crumbling Foundations,” a legislative working group was established to, “…develop a model quality control plan for quarries and to study the workforce of contractors engaged in the repair and replacement of concrete foundations that have deteriorated due to the presence of pyrrhotite.” During the past few months I have had the honor of being a member of this group alongside other local officials, contractors and homeowners to produce this report. Last week we concluded our work and issued our report to the General Assembly. As the 2020 legislative session convenes in February I will continue to advocate for necessary reforms and measurers to assist homeowners.
