The Long Island Sound Blue Plan is designed to protect marine life, water quality and recreation in the Sound. I encourage you to learn more about this important plan, ask questions, or share any comments you may have, at the upcoming Blue Plan Public Meeting.

Public Hearing on Toll Bills Tomorrow

Tomorrow, March 6, the Transportation Committee will hold a public hearing on two bills concerning tolls: H.B. 7202, the governor’s bill, and H.B. 7280, a bill introduced by the legislative majority.

The hearing begins at 11 a.m. in room 1E of the Legislative Office Building (LOB).

The sign up to speak (testify) starts at 10 a.m. and runs to 12 noon in the lobby of the Legislative Office Building (LOB).

Public officials are typically allowed the first hour to testify and then on an alternating basis

A reminder that I’ll be hosting a Community Conversation tonight at the Rowayton Community Center from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to ask questions about any state issue including the governor’s budget proposals, the school regionalization bills, tolls, or any other piece of legislation of importance to you.

I will also be hosting a Community Conversation in the Darien Library Community Room on Thursday, March 14 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Education Public Hearing on School Regionalization – Friday, March 1

This coming Friday, March 1st is the Public Hearing in the Education Committee for the school regionalization proposals. 

Our state legislature provides the opportunity for all members of the public to speak their minds and present their thoughts on pending legislation. Our First Amendment rights are respected and taken seriously. The public is invited to come to Hartford to testify in person or submit testimony online. Your commitment and time to testify is critically important and very much appreciated.
