The COVID-19 pandemic essentially shut down the Capitol complex in March of 2019 to the general public. Only staff and elected officials have been allowed in on a limited basis since, and that will continue for the foreseeable future. But that does not mean business in the Connecticut General Assembly will be disrupted, and the public must still have access to officials and be allowed to take part in the legislative process. That means utilizing the best available technology.

Oxford – $11 million from the state’s Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) will be allocated in a round of grants to help 94 towns across the state fund various local projects. According to State Representative David Labriola (R-Oxford) and State Senator Eric Berthel (R-Watertown), Oxford will be receiving a grant that will help pay for an improvement project in the town’s industrial park.
