Bozrah & Colchester: Important Update from the Connecticut Department of Transportation

In light of the many recent and tragic wrong way accidents that are impacting Connecticut roadways, the Department of Transportation will be designing Wrong Way Detection Systems for select highway ramps that are considered as a high-risk statewide.

Locally, there will be plans to install these systems on off-ramps along sections of Route 2 in Bozrah, and Colchester.

Colchester – Route 2- East – Exit 21

Update: 2035 Gas-Powered Vehicle Sales Ban On Hold

Earlier this week, the proposal to prohibit the sales of new gasoline-powered vehicles by 2035 was withdrawn.

Although this version of the proposal has been withdrawn, a revised version of this ban is likely to return in the near future.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! As we kick off the holiday season, I was able to catch up with the Franklin Seniors last week and it was a wonderful visit! The Uncas Health District Mobile Health Team was on hand for the seniors, and I took the opportunity to get my blood pressure taken.
