Arbor Day Celebration at Tarrywile Park

I’ll be joining the Tarrywile Park Authority on Sunday, April 28 from 10am to 2pm to celebrate National Arbor Day! Sign up to volunteer (qrs.ly/xkfpknh) to cut down invasive vines, plant flowers, or paint flowerbed boxes as we work to safeguard the beauty and biodiversity of Danbury’s Tarrywile Park, the largest municipally-owned in the state of Connecticut at 722 acres. Nurse Licensure Compact Passes House Unanimously

The House gaveled in this week to start voting on proposals that have been vetted by all of the necessary committees. We also voted to approve a number of nomination to boards and commissions.

Nonprofit Grants Awarded to Danbury Youth Services, Family & Children’s Aid, MCCA

Three Danbury-based nonprofits are among the agencies to share in $35.5 million in state funding for capital improvement projects! Danbury Youth Services, Family & Children’s Aid and Mid-Western Connecticut Council of Alcoholism will receive funding as part of the eighth cycle of funding from the state’s Nonprofit Grant Program.
