Rep. Wood Supports Green Building Legislation

Posted on June 5, 2017 by Michael Downes

Rep. Wood stood in favor of critical Green Building legislation today – important for a couple of key reasons.

Wood noted that it is vitally important that we reduce our use of carbon based fuels and learn to be more efficient in how we consume energy.  That includes learning more about the psychological benefits to home and buildings built with sensitivity to our natural environment.

She pointed out that it is essential to find efficiencies in energy, and with our high cost of energy in our state it is critically important that we find alternative forms of energy.

Lastly, she noted that developing green building solutions would provide an economic opportunity where Connecticut can be a leader.
