Memorial Day arrives this weekend, and it is a time to reflect on the service of those who answered our nation’s call in times of armed conflict, and made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure future generations of Americans would remain free.
Below is a list of some important events happening in our district this weekend to commemorate this national holiday and the heroic actions of those who fought in the name of our freedom.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2018
Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 12 p.m. – Memorial Day Parade steps off from the Rowayton Community Center
Monday, May 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. – Memorial Day Parade from Goodwives Shopping Center, continuing down the Post Rd. to Spring Grove Cemetery, where a ceremony is conducted. Post 53 Food Fair – held at Tilley Pond – follows the parade
Monday, May 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. – Memorial Day Parade from Veterans Memorial Park in East Norwalk to the Town Green on East Avenue
